At Alston & Fox we create gifts and home accessories from decorator and vintage fabrics carefully selected to appeal to the customer who appreciates the pretty yet practical in their lives.
Many of our products are filled with lavender which when squeezed releases a wonderful, nostalgic fragrance and has calming, tension-reducing qualities. Lavender not only appeals to the senses but repels moths naturally.
Our unique gift tote selection of teapots and cups and saucers combines our love of antiques and vintage china with the English tradition of enjoying a cup of tea.
Alston & Fox is located in Petersburgh – a village in the beautiful mountains of upstate New York. Our business began in 1991 as two friends sharing a cup of tea and shortbread. With our two different backgrounds – England and rural America – we discovered our common interests and love for handmade gifts using fabrics and flowers from our gardens.
Working with both designer and vintage fabrics and embracing our English traditions, we have created unique gifts and home accessories using lavender and tea. Please note that if you do not see the item in the fabric of your choice, call us for other options.
We have come to recognize that our customers appreciate gifts that are visually appealing yet also useful – pretty and practical – so we continue to design and produce in small quantities items that have a personal touch – a way of saying “you are special.”
